Our mission is to empower Ethiopian children to transform their lives, families, and communities through access to quality education.
Rebuilding A Nation, Inc. (RAN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established to meet the tremendous need for quality education in Ethiopia. Since our inception in January 2018, RAN has actively linked funds and technical expertise between Ethiopia and the United States. We strive to channel the resources of the Ethiopian diaspora and our generous American friends to support Ethiopian schools serving vulnerable children.
RAN’s first partner organization is Raey School in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which was founded in 2007 by Mengesha Gebreyes and Frehiwot Gugsa. RAN launched this partnership with Raey School because of their proven educational excellence with the most underserved children in Addis. Initially, RAN sponsored 41 students for one calendar year (2018). Given our success, we have continued this partnership.
Our vision is to educate every child in Ethiopia, particularly those who lack ready access to schooling. We are actively looking for new partnerships with other schools.
